So was doing some crafting the other day and had some left over paper. What to do with this extra paper I ask myself. So I started looking around. My original craft was turning old tin cans into makeup brush organizers. Which turned out quite well in my opinion.
I don't know about you but I hate the look of an ugly Kleenex box and Glade cans. So with my trusty can of spray paint and left over scrapbook paper I set to work.
What do you think? Pretty?
For the Glade can I popped the top off and painted it, peeled the wrapper and replaced it with scrap book paper. I used double stick tape to secure.
For the tissue box I removed the plastic, but of course. This is the tricky part in my opinion. I didn't want paint on the plastic on the top of the box so I cut several smaller pieces of plain paper and inserted them under the lip of the box to protect the clear plastic. You'll want to use a small piece tape to insure the spray paint doesn't "blow" the paper up. Spray paint your box, let dry and then decorate. I used paper cut into 4"x5" rectangles.
I think these would be lovely for weddings. You could decorate them in your wedding colors and place them in the pews for the ceremony. In fact I think I'll do that someday when I'm fortunate enough to get married.
Hope you enjoyed.
